The Stinson Legacy

The Stinson Team was founded in 1985 by Judi Stinson, built from a simple but powerful decision: family comes first. Faced with a job transfer that would have taken her away from home while her children were still in high school, Judi chose to stay rooted in Fort Wayne and start something of her own. What began as helping friends through transitions quickly grew into a thriving real estate business, fueled by trust, integrity, and genuine care for people.

Phil joined Judi full time in the early 1990s after retiring from Navistar, and together they created a partnership that clients immediately felt. Nearly all of their business came from repeat and referral relationships, a reflection of how deeply they invested in the people they served. For Judi and Phil, real estate was never just transactions. It was about guiding families through important moments in their lives and building friendships that lasted decades.

Their energy, warmth, and love of connection extended far beyond their work. Whether on the golf course, at the bridge table, traveling, or simply laughing with friends and family, Judi and Phil lived with enthusiasm and curiosity. Judi’s signature response to new adventures was “Sure. When?” and Phil matched her spirit with humor, storytelling, and a lifelong commitment to volunteering and community leadership.

They officially stepped back from active business in 2019, but their impact continues every day. The Stinson Team still thrives on the foundation they built, and referrals from their past clients remain one of the greatest honors of their legacy.
